SASCA is a SAMSA appointed agency (Marine notice 13 of 2011) SAMSA Logoand carries out its functions in accordance with the stipulations of Government Gazette 30151 of August 2007.

The South African Small Craft Association was established to train and promote safety at sea and also to train and promote safety on inland waters.

The Association provide skipper training, lecturing, examining and surveying services to the recreational boating and scuba diving community. The Association also provide these services to the broader boating sector in South Africa.
